A Taste of Korea at Caffe Bene

0 komentar

Saya pun tertarik mampir kesini sekaligus ingin menghabiskan sisa waktu saya sebelum dijemput pulang. Hahaha sampai bingung bagaimana menghabiskannya.

Well, it's just a skimmed milk, but it taste better when you sipped it with good friends while talking about Korean drama hahaha.

Will gonna set my schedule to visit this place again soon.

[Product Testing] Edible Wish : The First Fruit Bouquet in Town

0 komentar

Everyone needs a surprise in their special moments and we also need to give a surprise to our special one. A gift, a flower bouquet, a flight ticket or a handmade cake could be one of the surprise. But how about giving our special one with something different, unique while invite him/her to keep their body healthy. No, no, no, I’m not recommend you to buy them a gym pass or a treadmill machine (it’s too expensive for some people), but I will give you an idea to bring them something sweet, nutricious, imaginative and doesn’t need too much effort. Yap, it’s Edible Wish!

Tropical Delight fruit bouquet

Indeed you must be aware with the word ‘edible’, it is something that you can eat. Yeah you can eat the gift! Edible Wish brings a joy of giving to a new height by merging the fruit basket and flower bouquet in a way that provides an imaginative treats and display for recipients. When I first offered by them to taste the sample, I wasn’t expect anything, but when the bouquet come into my office (even my receptionist in a rush came and yell to me when receiving it “Icha, Icha come come, you got a very beautiful gift!” hahaha), I surprised that it’s really uh-ma-zing fruits bouquet! It fruits, yes it is, but Edible Wish arranges it like a bouquet of flowers with super fresh and colourful fruits. I got their "Tropical Delight" fruit bouquet consist of strawberry, grape and orange sunkist with lettuce as the garnish in a white ceramic vase.

Not only 'Tropical Delight", Edible Wish arranges another beautiful fruit bouquets with combination of different fruits and different containers such as "P.S. I Love You" with chocolate dipped strawberry and pineapple in a pink ceramic vase; Summer Temptation" with additional Melon in a cute plastic fruit basket and many more.

They also have a range of chocolate dipped fruits where fruits like strawberry and green aple dipped into a sweet chocolate and drizzled with white chocolate and some sprinkles like colourful love sprinkles.  Perfectly beautiful!

 A colorful drizzled dipped fruits!

Surprisingly, they not only give me something to amaze with, but allure me with their fresh and juicy fruits. Look how big, juicy and red they strawberries are! It is more than a healthy gift for me and of course for your special one.

They won’t also put you in effort to have the bouquet; it is actually cheaper than a flower bouquet. The range is from IDR225,000 to 450,000 depends on the bouquet creation. The higher the price, the more fruits you get in a bouquet, I think. The chocolate dipped fruits range is from IDR160.00 to 225,000. And yeah what I love is they also pack the dipped fruits in a very beautiful pinkish-yellow box. Looooove it so much!

New Sweet Sensations at Mandarin Oriental Cake Shop

0 komentar

Last Sunday I dropped by at Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Jakarta to attend their launching of New Sweet Sensations at Mandarin Oriental Cake Shop. It was a super sugar-high day but full of temptations to everyone who comes to the launching. Sweets everywhere! This is my second time visiting this restaurant, back then I only enjoyed my complimentary voucher as the third winner from their photo competition. I knew that they have super fabulous desserts variation which I feel regret couldn’t take my time at that time to enjoy the desserts.

This time I feel honoured to be invited again by their team especially to taste their desserts, yay! I even haven’t get a chance yet to try their famous cronuts (huhuhu pity me). Mandarin Oriental Cake Shop located inside Cinnamon Restaurants, it is a small cake shop but seems promise everyone with big temptations. You can see how beautiful and mouth-watering their display is. Okay, enough for the introduction let me show you the fact about the event.

Actually, the Mandarin Oriental Pastry Chef, Chef Wita Girawati recently completed an intensive training at the prestigious LeNotre culinary institutes in Paris. She refine her pastry making skills and uncover the latest pastry trends. No wonder, when she back here, she’s ready to bring the pastry department to new heights with exciting range of innovative ├ęclairs, high-end deserts and handmade chocolates. She also creates several new menu featuring Matcha Goma, Emeraude Cake, Piemonte Hazelnut Cake and Chocombroise.

So, here’s the best part of this post *drumroll…Cake Parade! Ready to droll? Let’s dig in!

Blueberry & Chocolate Cronuts

 Almond Cronuts

 Matcha Goma Cake

 Alliance Apricot Cake

 Caramel and Apple Tart

 Lime Macaroon

Chocombroise

 Piemonte Hazelnut Cake

 Alliance Apricot & Opera Cake

 Eclairs

 Cassava Cake with Cheese

From all of the cake and dessert selection I tried on that day, I got my top 5 favourite. Here they are:

#1 Matcha Goma Cake. Me never say no for something infused with green tea!  This cake not only moist inside but also gives me a hint with its kind of jelly inside. The green tea taste was not too strong but sweet enough.

#2 Caramel and Apple Tart. This is also the best for me. The texture of the pie is crunchy and soft. I found how apple and cinnamon smells awakening my taste bud. It was really appetizing cake!

#3 Blueberry Cronuts. I thought that all kind of cronuts made by MO Jakarta Cake shop is heaven, but this one is more than heaven with the very crunchy croissant dough outside and very moist donut dough inside and the sweet and high blueberry sensation on the top, I will always say YES if anyone offers me this! Delish!

#4 Lime Macaron. Chef Gita is deeply understand that macaroon doesn’t always come in sweet, while not everybody love something too sweet. She perfectly combines the lime cream inside the sweet macaroni to neutralize the whole taste. Simply love it.

#5 Chocombroise. I’m in love with this cake since the chocolate isn’t too sweet but it could cover my whole mouth with chocolate high flavour!

Guests at Mandarin Oriental Cake Shop will be able also to experience a sumptuous Afternoon Tea with IDR230,000++ from 3 to 6 pm where they can choose to have either coffee or tea with a selection of the new cakes and sandwiches.

Thank you so much Mandarin Oriental Cake Shop for inviting me to this event. Will always be back for your cronuts!

Uniknya Hidangan Peranakan Padang di Saraso

0 komentar

Thanks also for inviting me to this event!
